Hello. My name is Vivek Krishnakumar, currently based in sunny San Diego, CA. I am a Bioinformatics Engineer at Illumina Inc. within the Data Analysis Software Test Engineering team, focused on developing bioinformatics utilities to facilitate the verification and validation of Illumina RUO software, along with improving and maintaining in-house bioinformatics libraries and test automation frameworks.

Previously, I was part of the J. Craig Venter Institute, working on plant genome assembly curation, genome structural and functional annotation as well as developing and maintaining genome data portals for the Plant Genomics research community.
